Assessment Fees

At Autism Assessment Specialists, we understand that pursuing an autism assessment is a significant and often deeply personal decision. We aim to make the process as transparent and supportive as possible, including clear information about costs and available rebates. Our assessment fees reflect the time, experience, and the comprehensive nature of our process, which includes clinical consultations, evidence-based psychometric testing, developmental history-taking, collaboration with professionals, and detailed reporting. We are committed to delivering high-quality assessments that provide meaningful, actionable insights while also helping you access relevant supports.

Initial Assessment Consultation $295

All assessments begin with an Initial Assessment Consultation. This session allows your psychologist to gain a thorough understanding of your current concerns, background, and reasons for seeking an autism assessment. Whether your goals relate to personal insight, support planning, or accessing services.

During the consultation, your clinician will conduct a detailed clinical interview, asking about your developmental history, day-to-day experiences, and any challenges you may be facing. You may also be asked to complete screening questionnaires prior to your appointment to help guide the discussion.

The session will conclude with a collaborative conversation about the most appropriate next steps based on your individual situation and goals. If an autism assessment is recommended and you wish to proceed, you will be provided with a formal quote outlining the process and associated costs.

To secure your booking, a 50% deposit of the total fee is required. Once payment is received, your assessment sessions will be scheduled at times that best suit you.

Please note: In some cases, additional sessions may be required to complete the assessment—particularly when a client's presentation is complex or when further clarification is needed to explore or differentiate between possible diagnoses. If this becomes necessary, you will be informed as early as possible during the assessment process. Any additional sessions will be billed at the standard consultation rate of $300 per 50-minute session.
